Champion riding school pony/first year showing will receive a cup. Qualifiers for this are first class winners in each class in this category.

Full address and Eircode must be supplied for all entries. Prize money will be paid by cheque after the show. Please note that a 5% ISA levy will be deducted from all prize money.
UNDERAGE RIDERS:
Any rider under 18 years of age must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.
IMPORTANT NOTICE:
Horse riding is a dangerous sport. While mounted, all competitors and ride judges must wear suitable protective headgear, compliant with current safety standards and securely fastened at all times.
Champion Riding School Pony / First Year Showing
Judging will commence after Novice Riding in Ring 2 or after Riding classes in Ring 1, depending on entries.
The Champion Riding School Pony / First Year Showing will receive a Cup and will be selected from 1st prize winners in each class within this category.
Prizes: Champion €30 · Reserve €15
Ponies to be shown in a suitable snaffle bridle. Judged on rider suitability, manners and presentation. Ponies to be ridden in walk and trot, with canter at the judge’s discretion.
All participants will receive medals.
No entries permitted on day of event.
All classes are subject to a minimum of five (5) entries for 1st, 2nd and 3rd prizes to be awarded.
Where fewer than five entries are received, 1st prize only will be awarded.
The horse and pony classes bring elegance and excitement to the Dundalk Show. Featuring a range of classes, these competitions showcase well-presented animals, skilled handling and a deep appreciation for Ireland’s strong equestrian tradition.
